Historic Open House at the Barcroft Community House
The Barcroft School and Civic League held an open house at the Barcroft Community House on Sunday, November 5th, 2023 from 2 to 5pm to exhibit the biggest collection ever of the BSCL's historic treasures, including photos, histories, notebooks, treasurers' ledgers, minutes going back to 1920, correspondence, the Barcroft News from 1972 to now, and a full set of the 1903 edition. This collection provided a chance for a hands-on dive into the neighborhood's history.
We were celebrating our new roof and exterior painting, supported in part by the Arlington County Historic Preservation Fund.
We also collected donations of winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for winter distribution.
